So often when reading a text or hearing a story we feel like there is something else going on under the surface. Metaphysical interpretation is a way to bring out other meanings and maieutic interpretation helps us determine what message the story has for us. Students will learn to metaphysically interpret and personalize any story.
Myrtle and Charles Fillmore were drawn to Acts because they saw Unity as an opportunity to reproduce the fresh new church depicted in Acts. Revelation almost didn’t make it into the Bible. The stories can be dark and hard to discern but represent powerful and potent lessons for us even today.
