The cathedrals of Europe are known for their beautiful rose windows, where the light is filtered through the beauty of the colored glass. This week I had the privilege of gazing through a rose window. It was the eyes of my niece’s beautiful baby Rose.
This little one seemed especially bright, but I remember thinking that before. The truth is that each one of us is born, not a sinner, but an unadulterated light. Pure. Sweet. Wholly. Holy. This is who we are and who we remain in our essence.
As we celebrate Christmas Eve, we are honoring our birth as light in form and the birth of all people, not just one. We are the Rose Windows of the world!
