Sunday Service – Non-Violence: What’s Love Got to Do with It? with Rev. Robin Ryan
In this season of non-violence, we focus on peace and love, especially for the world at large. How can we accomplish this?
Sunday, March 27th at 10:00 AM – In-Person & Livestreaming on UnityCentralOregon.org
We’re back to having in-person service and we are also Live-streaming on our website using Zoom! You can watch even if you don’t have a Zoom account (you don’t even have to fix your hair!). It will also be available as a recording in the video library on our website and on Facebook later that day.
Since the Oregon mask mandate was lifted on March 11th we will no longer require masks at our in-person service. We encourage those that still feel more comfortable wearing a mask to continue to do so. Whatever feels right for you is the choice we encourage you to go with. 😊😷

Dr. Shariff Abdullah Guest Visit to Unity
Around the world, humanity is currently experiencing an unprecedented transformation of human societies… “The Wave”. Most of us are ignoring it, running from it in fear, or desperately trying to hold on to the status quo. And a few of us are reaching out to embrace it! We few will be the leaders of our new, transformed societies. The Wave is dangerous… unless, of course, you learn how to surf it! In this positive and spiritually uplifting talk, Dr. Shariff Abdullah charts our path ahead over the next few months, and explores how YOU can prepare for unprecedented change!
Join the visionary and engaging Dr. Shariff Abdullah for a series of events at Unity Community of Central Oregon.

Action Compassion Transformation!
Our ACT ministry is all about putting our Unity principles into ACTION. We volunteer, get directly engaged, and even sometimes do public rallies and demonstrations in support of good causes.
Our next specific action is to bring in your food donations for our Bend Food Project collection. Our next Food Project Collection date is Sunday, April 3rd so please bring in good non-perishable food items over the next two weeks. The lovely Anna Thedford will then collect it all up and deliver it to the Family Kitchen to be given to folks who really need it. Thanks Anna!
In case you didn’t know you can pick up a green Bend Food Project at Unity and then fill it up as you go along and drop it off as the pick-up date gets close.
If you’d like to be part contact Ande Cardwell our awesome Community Engager.
Breaking Bread (not Bad!) After Service
It has been so great to get back to in-person services. To make these potlucks work we need folks to bring the goods. We’ll provide the coffee and tea and we ask that you bring a snack to share when you can. Breaking bread together is a wonderful way to connect, build community, and well, eat! Volunteers are always needed for set up and clean up. If you have time to help by staying a little later or arriving early we encourage you to do so!
Member Appreciation 🙏🏽
Jeff Hiatt
At our recent annual meeting we were giving shout outs to our fabulous huge team of volunteers and when our Board President, Clare, got to Jeff Hiatt she described him as “Mr. Miscellaneous”. It’s true! We can count on Jeff to do just about anything that needs to be done to make this community and our wonderful facility so great. He runs errands, does shopping, fixes all sorts of things in the buildings and on the grounds. He is usually the one to deal with it when the alarm is accidentally set off. He deposits donations and on and on.
On top of it all, he seems to be a pretty good husband to our beloved Rev. Jane. She says he’s definitely a keeper. We think so too! Thanks Jeff, for all you do and for being YOU.
