Do We Have Free Will? – with William Gregory

Invitation to Sunday Talk with William Gregory

This Sunday, William Gregory will offer us a talk titled, “Do We Have Free Will?”

What is free will? How can we exercise it to our benefit and the benefit of the whole. Exploring the workings of our internal conversations that we may have the skills to become sentient will full human beings.

In-Person & Livestreaming on UnityCentralOregon.org

We are delighted to offer you the option of in-person service or Live-streaming on our website using Zoom! You can watch even if you don’t have a Zoom account (you don’t even have to fix your hair!). It will also be available as a recording in the video library on our website and on Facebook later that day.

Masks are no longer required at our in-person service. We encourage those that still feel more comfortable wearing a mask to continue to do so. Whatever feels right for you is the choice we encourage you to go with. 😊😷

Member Appreciation 🙏🏽

Have you noticed our beautiful little library box in front of our building? This creation has truly been a community effort. Barn Barnard donated a bunch of wood before he and Annie moved to Salem. Jim Pasmore hauled the wood in his truck and paid for the extra lumber that was needed. Jim Loughrie built it. Clare Kubota paid for the paint, using Laura Jasinek’s discount and painted the blue part. Diane Leverick painted the mural on the back. Rev. Jane found the boxes of books from our old library at the Grange, and John Hellar and Chris Tippets carried them from the shed and stacked them in the box. And the books themselves were donated back in the Grange days by many, many people! Now it’s complete, so help yourself to books and feel free to leave any spiritual books (as long as there is room on the shelf!) for others to appreciate.

THE BROKEN PIECES

By Donna Benjamin

Let us fix the broken pieces

Glue them back together so they stick

The vase will be whole again

Our intention is wholeness

Beauty

Surrender

So let us fix the broken pieces

Find the right adhesive

The right words

The right actions

So that we may thrive in joy

Not suffering

Let us fix the broken pieces

They are all around us

Almost everywhere we turn

We can sweep them aside

But then they remain broken

So let us fix the broken pieces

The shards

The slivers

The cracks

Place them together again

So that they may join together

In Unity of the whole

Let us fix the broken pieces

Including our hearts

That cry out for comfort

For kindness

For sanity

Weave a web of healing

Let us fix the broken pieces

They are so worthy of our attention

And mending skills

Our inner knowing on how to heal

We know this

We got this

Let us fix the broken pieces

Let us fix the broken pieces
