Sunday Service: Sunday, September 11th at 10:00 AM

Rev. Jane invites you to join us this Sunday

Come Together Now!

Bring a Friend Sunday & Potluck

With Rev. Jane Hiatt

As we mark the 21st anniversary of 9/11, just a week after the gun violence at Safeway, we are reminded that the most powerful medicine needed at such times is caring community. Unity Spiritual Community is a hearth where all can gather and find welcome, regardless of skin color, sexual orientation, political persuasion, age, or any other quality used to exclude people. We not only welcome all people but cultivate the power of community in a deep way. For this Sunday, we ask everyone to invite a friend and bring a potluck dish for brunch. Let’s introduce more people to the sweetness and strength of this community.

EVENTS & MUSIC

World Day of Prayer Event

Wednesday, September 7th at 6:00 PM at Unity

Every year Unity celebrates the high watch that prayer represents in our tradition with a worldwide day of prayer. Our community is offering two options. Join the worldwide organization in the online service, at 5pm PDT, by registering HERE. Or attend our local event at our Sanctuary from 6-7pm. We will gather in ceremony and prayer, music and chants, led by Rev. Jane, Dave Finch, and Greg Warnick. Please arrive a little bit early so our ceremony can begin at 6 without interruptions. Prayer is such a powerful gift to ourselves, our loved ones, and the world. Please join one of these events.

Member Appreciation

This week we’d like to celebrate so many in our community! All those who helped make a special service last Tuesday possible – Rev. Jane, Dave Finch, Donna Benjamin, Jenni Trumpa, and Kevin Kubota. Then this past Sunday we had an amazing Q&A service with Rev. Jane, Rev. Jim, and Rev. Tam. So many of our members had powerful shares and deep questions. It was very healing to be part of such a loving, compassionate, community. Let’s continue to shine beautiful light for each other.
