Spirit Groups are Filling Up – Small Group Gatherings to Support Connection

We have several Spirit Groups starting in the next couple of weeks and we encourage you to sign up for a group. Here are some of the group topics: Book – • Regeneration: Ending the Climate Crisis in One Generation • Documentary – Aluna: A Journey to Save the World • Book – Spiritual Keys of Aging, Book – • The Five Principles • Book – Brene Brown’s Braving the Wilderness •Book – Peaceful Passing • Practice – Hear Here Listening Club.

We’re Hosting the Unity NW Regional Retreat – Help Us in Welcoming Them

Unity Wordwide Ministeries NW region is holding its annual conference at our beautiful facility next week. Ministers, Spiritual Leaders, Licensed Unity Teachers, youth directors and teachers, and music teams from all Unity communities in the NW will be coming together for a recharge. This year the theme is “Sharing Shabbat”. The intention is to create a space of ritual and sharing that is restorative for all these leaders. Rather than bring in a speaker, they’ll have sharing segments from members and enjoy time in the beautiful Central Oregon outdoors to allow nature to have a role in their rejuvenation.

Help us welcome them by bringing in a card of appreciation for their time and dedication to sharing the teachings of Unity, a piece of art to place on the altar table at the back of our sanctuary, fresh flowers or other piece of nature to bring the outdoors in, welcome sign, or anything else you think would be meaningful.

Member Appreciation

Two, Four, Six, Eight – Who do we appreciate? How about we give our Sunday service hosts a round of applause this week! This team of energetic humans takes on a huge amount of responsibility each Sunday when they step onto the stage. Not only do they have a big list of details to remember and communicate to an in-person and online community, but the energy they bring is an important component of our community culture. It’s also a very vulnerable position to put yourself in – when you put yourself on stage you open yourself to criticism, mostly from yourself. Thank you to all our hosts for your courage and diversity. The time you put into all the details of each Sunday service is so appreciated. Our host team – Kevin Kubota, Rachelle Indra, Nate Hitchcock, Tamera Schmidt, Cylvia Hayes, William Gregory, Clare Kubota, and Jim Pasmore.

Preschool Teacher Needed at Our Neighbor School – Mia’s Sprouts

Mia’s Sprouts is currently hiring a preschool teacher. If you have completed a CPR class, hold a central background certification registration, and have 1-2 years of experience in a preschool center, we would love to meet you! However, even if you don’t have the specific qualifications, but are interested in working in early childhood education, please come talk to us. This could be a wonderful opportunity for you to pursue your passion.

Have Something You Think We Should Include in Our Newsletter?

An appreciation, blog content, poem, event, or class? If it fits our guidelines we’re happy to share it. Contact Clare Kubota.
