Saging Not Aging
with Rev. Jim Pasmore, Greg Warnick, & Charlotte Oakes
Rev. Jim Pasmore, Charlotte Oakes, and Greg Warnick will be your speakers this coming Sunday. During this panel discussion, they will share practical wisdom from their combined 242 years of life experience and Unity practicesโinsights that have enabled them to create loving, passionate, joyful, and thriving lives. No matter your age, you are on the journey of agingโand youโll likely become an elder someday, too. Perhaps youโll leave with the understanding that living every day with joy, gratitude, and forgiveness is the keyโboth now and into your golden years. ย Please join Jim, Charlotte and Greg for an open and participative question and answer discussion on โSaging not Aging”.

Keeping It Real Wednesday Evening Service
Finding Treasure in the Darkness โ Mindfulness and the Light Within
Wednesdays from 6:30 – 7:30 PM
Join Ezekiel for an evening exploring how mindfulness opens the door to understanding our shadowโthe hidden parts of ourselves yearning to be seen and integrated. Drawing on Jungian wisdom and spiritual practice, weโll discover how awareness transforms darkness into light, and how compassion toward our own humanity reveals the divine wholeness already within.

Hiring A New Minister – Next Steps
The Minister Search Team and the USCCO Board would like to thank everyone who participated in the minister search process the past few weeks. Thank you, Matthew and William, for sharing your hearts and the calling that you both obviously feel for the minister role for our community. We feel very grateful and blessed to have you both with us. And thank you, community, for your energy and time with this very important decision for our future. The search team will be synthesizing and evaluating all of the feedback from the search team’s application reviews and candidate interviews, the Board’s candidate interviews, and the community feedback. A recommendation will go to the Board soon, and the Board will make an announcement in the next few weeks with their decision. We welcome any questions or comments as the process continues.

50K to Light the Way! – Update from our board treasurer Eric Moyerman
Now that weโve had wonderful services presented by the two candidates for our Spiritual Leader, the importance of having the funds to pay them is even more clear. ย Cornerstone donors kicked off the campaign by pledging $25,000 for matching gifts from the community. ย Many of you have already stepped up with direct contributions as well as purchases at our September Garage Sale and last Saturdayโs successful Silent Auction & Makerโs Market (see Leia taking a victory lap below). ย Today we stand at 84% of our $25,000 goal!

OTHER HAPPENINGS
At Our Table Potluck Dinner – Are You Interested in Hosting a Dinner?
Kevin & I (Clare Kubota) have loved hosting these gatherings for Unity Newcomers for the past few years. Its been such a beautiful way for โnew to Unityโ guests to have an opportunity to meet other new people, hear stories of their spiritual journey, and share their own personal story. After having so many long time members ask if they could join a dinner, we thought we should open these dinners up to anyone from Unity. Weโd love to invite other members to host dinners so weโre able to have more opportunities for our community to connect in a small group setting. If you are interested in hosting one or more potluck dinners at your home please let me know by emailing me using the button below.

Member Appreciation
Leia Napoli
Letโs give a big Wild Soul Howl to Leia Napoli!! Leia is the team lead for our Event Team and inspiration behind our latest fundraising event – The Silent Auction, Makers Market, and Raffle. It is no easy task to make sure an event like this goes smoothly, especially when youโre working full time, moving to a new home, caring for your mom, volunteering for the Youth program, and on the Unity Board! Leia rallied a great group from our community to support her and the day was a success financially and in building community. Wow, Leia, we are so blown away by your dedication to our community and your beautiful, gentle spirit. We recognize how much you give and are truly grateful.
