Welcome New Board Members!

Last week we held our Annual Meeting and voted in 4 new board members. Welcome Rev. Kelly Billings, Dennis Schoenberg, Russell Simpson, and Eric Moyerman. They spent many hours meeting this past weekend connecting and discussing priorities for 2024 and are ready to go!

Our 2024 Donation Recipients

At the Annual Meeting last week we also voted on the non-profits we’ll be donating financially to each quarter of 2024. Each year we ask our community to nominate non-profits and then our membership votes on which ones to support financially in the coming year. This year we’ll be making donations to… Think Wild, Changing Patterns, Embrace Bend, and Family Kitchen.

Wear Your Prosperity Coffee Table Book

This book project was the brainchild of member Genesis Ilada after participating in a Unity prosperity class. Genesis is a professional makeup artist, designer, and photographer and wanted to use her skills to feature images of Unity ministers and members along with their stories of prosperity to raise funds for our community. The end result is a beautiful coffee table book now available for purchase. Genesis says, “The book’s purpose is to share our individual Prosperity story and what it means to be prosperous. It highlights our deep connection with Mother Nature through promoting positive tourism in Bend by photographing our members in city and state parks.” The book is priced at $88 and you may add more as a donation.

You can view the beautiful book in the Unity foyer.

Member Appreciation

Evolet with auction flyers

You may know Evolet from Sunday morning celebration. She is usually wearing a beautiful, sparkling dress and running the mic around for people to share their celebrations. As a long time member of our kids group she is often the one to welcome new kids and show them the ropes. She is getting a special shout out this week for asking her dad, Dan, to drive her around town to put up auction flyers. Evolet, we so appreciate the energy you put into supporting our Unity community and living Unity’s 5th principle of putting your spiritual practice into action.
