Sunday Service: May 15th at 10:00 AM
Council of All Beings
with Rev. Jane and Cylvia Hayes
On Mothers’ Day we are celebrating the Great Mother—Planet Earth—a living organism, the ultimate wild soul sanctuary. In ceremony we will create a Council of All Beings, where we honor the multitude of life forms in their singular beauty. This powerful ceremony, appropriate for kids as well as adults, is a communal ritual in which participants step aside from their human identity and speak on behalf of another life-form. A simple structure for spontaneous expression, it aims to heighten awareness of our interdependence in the living body of Earth, and to strengthen our commitment to defend it. The ritual serves to help us acknowledge and give voice to the suffering of our world. It also serves, in equal measure, to help us experience the beauty and power of our interconnectedness with all life. The Council of All Beings emerged from the work of Joanna Macey and John Seed.
Guest musicians Heather Pierson & Shawn with a concert that evening at 6:00 PM!
Bring a snack to share at our after service buffet 😁

Feeling the Love!
Our Community outreach of washing laundry hit a heart chord! Trevor is happy to have clean laundry. His ALS makes most things hard. This simple act of kindness gives much relief. He says “Thanks Unity Community!”
The right side of Debbie’s body doesn’t function well. She spends a lot of time in her bunk. She feels seen and loved, knowing a community member is willing to help with her laundry.
Want to help out with our pilot project, washing one bag of laundry/week? Contact Leia Napoli.

Member Appreciation 💖
Rev. Tamera Schmidt has been extra busy of late. She’s hosted, played with the kids, given the Sunday message, and was part of the Blessing Ceremony of our Youth. She’s always up for prayers as one of our Prayer Leaders. She’s the key minister on the Pastoral Care Team. She recently completed Mike Dooley’s Infinite Possibilities Training and is planning to offer that experience of expansive bounty to the rest of us. It’s not like this top level executive coach can’t find anything to do, between work and her labradoodles. It’s just that her heart is so big and her love for our community knows no limits. Rev. Jane says of Rev. Tamera, “Whenever I ask her if she will help with something, the answer is always ‘Of course’. “ We are so blessed to have Rev. Tam in our midst. Thank you for who you are and all you contribute!
