The Uncomfortable View at 16,000 Feet

with Kevin Kubota

Is it comfortable at 16,000 feet? Not really. Is the otherworldly view amazing? Absolutely!

Our personal comfort zone is very important – it gives us a place to rest, to recuperate, and to feel safe. At the same time, it can limit us from living the fullest life we are capable of. How do we use our comfort zones for rest and refuge without letting them become a personal prison as well? Should we even bother pushing out of our comfort zones? In this talk, Kevin Kubota will use a recent adventure to Ecuador, the Galapagos, and a climb to 16,000 feet on Cotopaxi volcano to explore the powerful benefits, and potential pitfalls, of toeing the line to our comfort zones.

with Special Guest Musician Kristen Lee

Kristen Lee is a soul vocalist and songwriter. Kristen hopes her positive lyrics will raise the vibe and make people happy!

NEW CLASS – Braving Our Wilderness, with Dr. Cari Bourette

Note on dates and times: These will be determined by the group. There will be two sessions during the window of June 10-June 22.

Our spiritual community is evolving and with that comes change.  Rev. Jane’s announcement of her intention to step back from being senior minister initiated the process of a rite of passage for us.  Some have experienced strong reactions to this, perhaps unexpectedly, or feel left with feelings of confusion.  Bring your feelings about the changes in our community along with an open heart and mind.  Be prepared to share the personal spaces that are being touched by this change in the community, knowing that we are in this together, and can support each other in our personal and collective healing… together. Space is limited to 7 people so RSVP soon.

Save the Date – Town Hall Meeting

Wednesday, June 12th from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Topic – An open forum, Community discussion on minister transition. All are welcome! We want your thoughts and input as we work towards this important and exciting transitional period together.

Member Appreciation

If you’ve used the bathroom at Unity in the past couple of weeks you may have noticed some new artwork in your stall 😄. These were designed and put up by members Mary Fay and Genesis Ilada with the help of our Unity kids. The Earth Care group has been wanting to share these messages for quite some time and these two finally made it happen. I know I’ve enjoyed having a beautiful image and message to look at while going to the potty ☺️. Thank you Mary and Genesis for getting this project completed!!

Thank you Genesis and kids!
Thank you Mary Fay!
