Spiritual Complexity: Walking in Two Worlds

with Rev. Jane Hiatt

When living from the I AM. life is filled with positivity and possibility. When living from the material world, life is filled with challenges. But it’s not a binary state of one being right and the other wrong. Life is complex and we are here to walk in two worlds. This talk will be about how that works and how to make the walk the best we can.

Music & Singing with Kirtan Songs Led by Amazing Prema Mayi

Saturday, August 5th at 7:00 PM at Unity

About Prema – She is a native of Chile, and Lived there until the age of ten. Her parents and three brothers migrated to spain and france, where their spiritual journey took a significant turn. Coming in contact with a Bhakti yoga ashram in france, they decided to leave behind their lives and embrace a new way of love and dedication that harmonized the journey of the soul in this human experience. she studied some of the arts of vedic culture, such as drama, dance, kirtan, mantra meditation. Discovering the power this sacred sound vibration, kirtan, offers, she now travels around the world with her sons, sharing a transformational experience and connection to divine source.

Kirtan is a type of call and repeat chanting of simple mantras. Through chanting mantras you can enter the sacred planes of the soul, the undiscovered inner landscape, where beauty, harmony and love is the natural state of being. Join Prema for a beautiful evening of song and your heart will leave filled 😁💕🎶.

Unity Gratitude Project – We’d Love Your Participation

If you missed this article last week, here’s what this project is all about…This beautiful project has been initiated by member Elaine Cornick. Here is her introduction for you all to participate – I’m a member of a meditation group that did a similar Gratitude project recently. I experienced a potent energy that generated real blessings from doing this as part of a group, something larger than just myself. My intention here is to expand the power of our energy field to nourish each of us and our Unity Spiritual Community.

It’s a chance to expand your experience of the miracles that happen with “two or more gathered together”. It’s also a chance to expand your experience as a generative, energetic “owner” of, and partner in, our Unity community.

It’s an invitation to share why you show up and what you receive from being in this Unity community.

How we’re doing it:

We have two venues (at least to start with):

You’re welcome and encouraged to post short letters or notes, artwork, poetry, music—whatever forms feel like they express your gratitude.

You can post your own submissions on the physical bulletin board if you want to, or email them to Elaine and she’ll print and post them. Her email is – .

This works if you play! 😊 Please contact Elaine with questions or comments.

Thank you Nate!

Member Appreciation

This week we are appreciating the fantastic Nate Hitchcock. Nate became a member with his wife Erin shortly after we moved into our current location, almost exactly 5 years ago. After becoming a member he volunteered on the cleaning team, attended the men’s group, has done talks, is a regular host for Sunday service, and helps run the live stream. And if that’s not enough, he is someone we can reach out to when we are in need of a handyman. Nate, thank you for all the ways you support our community, we love you!!! Nate is dedicated to his spiritual growth and always up for a rich discussion on various spiritual topics. If you’re up for the same he’s your guy 🕺🏻🤙🏽.

We’re Cleaning Out the Lost & Found

If you think you may have left something at Unity be sure to check the lost and found, or email Clare and she can check for you – . We have LOTS of water bottles 💦. Anything that’s not claimed in the next week or two will be donated. 😊
