A Healthy World Begins with Understanding and Acceptance
with Rev. Dr. Cari Bourette
People see things from such different perspectives, it’s difficult sometimes to even have a conversation! Health within and without begins with learning to see the process unfolding with eyes of understanding and acceptance.
Rev. Dr. Cari has been recently referred to as a “Jonathan Livingston Seagull in our midst.” She is an ordained Metaphysical Minister and has a doctorate in Psychology. Rev. Cari is an active member here at USCCO and also leads a Unity expansion ministry (Confluence IS) that specializes in support and assistance for those on the journey to Awakening and Oneness.
🍽️ Bring a favorite snack to share with the community after service! We’ll provide the coffee and tea ☕️.
We always have a beautiful potluck of munchies to enjoy after service, so we hope you have time to stay, connect, and enjoy some coffee and snacks.
🌈 Childcare and activities are available for children 0 through 12 years.

NEW OFFERING – Sunday Talkabout – after service
We have just started a new offering every Sunday, following our Celebration Service! It’s called Talkabout, and it is an opportunity for us to gather together in small groups and talk about the talk we just heard! The circle will be facilitated by one of our community leaders and this is your chance to share your thoughts and feelings and to form deeper connections with fellow community members. Our Sunday speaker will generally participate as well, so that you can ask them more questions about their talk, or share what resonated with you.
Our first session this past Sunday was a great success, and we all felt it was a beautiful opportunity for genuine sharing and connection. We hope you will plan to join our next one 😊.
Here are the details: It starts 20 minutes after the service ends, so you’ll have time to grab some food in the lobby, and the Talkabout circle will last 30 to 45 minutes.
Group Hike to Dillion and Benham Falls
Saturday, August 16th at 9:00 AM
Unity monthly hikes continue! This month we’re headed to Dillion and Benham Falls.
This is a beautiful trail is mostly shaded along the river between Behnam Falls and Dillon Falls and is mostly flat with some mild up and down sections. You can walk/hike as long as you like and decide when to turn around. This is a very popular area for birding and hiking, so you’ll likely encounter other people while exploring. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. We’ll begin near a boat put-in along the Deschutes River just upstream of Dillon Falls. After enjoying the views at Benham Falls, retrace the same route back to the start point. All ages are welcome.
Our Monthly Afternoon of Divine Healing

Need some Divine Healing in your life or just want to learn more about alternative healing techniques? Please join our talented group of Central Oregon healers every 3rd Saturday of the month for a life changing experience of healing and education. Healers will offer their services and you donate what you’re able. No RSVP necessary.
Sacred Sound Sundays
Sundays from 6:00 to 7:15 PM
Donna will be leading this week. A space where stillness, breath, and sacred sound weave together to soothe your nervous system and open your heart. This is a beautiful, self-care experience. Wear comfy clothing, bring a mat, pillow, and blanket and soak in the sounds and vibrations of the crystal bowls, flute, and chimes. All are welcome. Cost for Unity members is on a sliding scale of $15 to $25.
🧘🏽Yoga with Shriman🧘🏼♂️
Every Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM
We are so fortunate to have such a well-versed yoga instructor as a member of our community. Through his teachings, Shriman empowers participants to embark on their unique paths toward physical, emotional, and mental well-being. His classes are an invitation to connect with your inner joy, embrace your true nature, and live in harmony with the world around you. There is no set cost but a suggested donation of $10 – $20 to be shared between Shriman and Unity is very much appreciated. All student levels are welcome and encouraged.

Declutter Your Mind for more clarity and aliveness – Workshop

The EarthCare Team Presents: The 1st Annual Harvest Share!
Starting Sunday, August 24th through Sunday Sept 28th (or longer if needed), all day.
A table will be set up on the Eastside of the building for all you home gardeners to share your abundance through contributing and receiving to practice the flow of reciprocity. Understanding Our Neighbor as Ourselves: Intro to Spiral Dynamics
Tuesday, September 2nd and 9th from 3:00 to 5:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Cari Bourette – in person and on Zoom.
Why are some so certain God is a Being in the sky and others know a Divine Presence found within? Why do some seem so violent and exclusionist and others so concerned with including everyone? There are different sets of values that accompany each level of consciousness on our evolutionary journey. This introductory class on Spiral Dynamics will assist you in understanding these differences and help you to better empathize and communicate with people that have another perspective on what’s important than what’s so obviously true for you. Cost for Unity members is just $45, non-members $75.
Save the date and call for volunteers! – 2nd Annual Unity Yard Sale Fundraiser
Saturday, August 30th from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Unity parking lot
Start gathering those items you no longer need and get them ready for our Unity Yard sale. All proceeds will go towards our 50k to Light the Way fund for us to have a nice cushion to cover the costs of bringing on a new minister. The Men’s Group will be providing some yummy BBQ items for purchase too. This is an all hands on deck event and we’d love your support. Volunteers are still needed on the day of the sale. Member Appreciation
If you don’t know her, you’ve for sure seen her smile and heard her contagious giggle. We’re talking about the one and only Erin Hitchcock 😁. Erin has been coming to Unity since the Sunday we opened at our current location about almost 8 years ago. Over the years she has volunteered in so may ways – as a healer at our monthly Divine Healers event doing reiki, caring for our plants, greeting, as part of the kitchen team, helping at events, to name just a few. She has recently taken on the role of Hospitality Team Lead which includes Greeters, Kitchen, and many other things that help give our sanctuary and community that welcoming energy. Thank you Erin for all you have done over the years and all you continue to step up to do. We are grateful for your beautiful and giving energy.
